Hello Uwe: maybe you can use a sudo -u user_name on the init.d scripts that
starts the daemon (need testing):
start-stop-daemon --start --quiet --pidfile $PIDFILE \
--exec "sudo -u user_name" $DAEMON -- $ARGS
