Have you checked permissions for writing the specified directory​? Take a look at the error time:

The error takes place before the end of volume is reached.... Does it means that Bacula cannot write the file to the restore directory specified or not?

I tried this tonight.  Marked the mail.tar file only and redid the
restore.   It failed again with the same error.

Any other suggestions?
