Hi, I've got a strange problem with bacula 5.02 on debian (squeeze).
Some volumes are marked in error with the following message in my
logs:
14-Jan 00:25 srv1.private.xxx JobId 11387: Error: Bacula cannot
write on disk Volume "Srv1-Inc-2208" because: The sizes do not
match! Volume=1614600918 Catalog=269096229
14-Jan 00:25 srv1.private.xxx 11387: Marking Volume
"Srv1-Inc-2208" in Error in Catalog.
14-Jan 00:25 srv1.private.xxx JobId 11387: Job
Backup-Srv1.2013-01-14_00.25.00_57 is waiting. Cannot find any
appendable volumes.
(Of course I've changed the server name above)
And then, the next save cannot be done because there's no volume
left. Here's my conf for this client:
Pool {
Name = Srv1-Inc-Pool
Maximum Volume Jobs = 6
Pool Type = Backup
LabelFormat = "Srv1-Inc-"
AutoPrune = yes
VolumeRetention = 62 days
Maximum Volumes = 10
Recycle = yes
So :
1)what could be the cause of this error?
2) how can I solve it? Is there some corruption in my database or
something?
Thanks for your help!
PS:
My setup is this one : I have a bacula director on one virtual
machine and a bacula-sd on another machine in the network. I backup
on this machine disks.
Then my clients are virtual machines (debian too). I run into this
problem a few times a week, as I have about twenty clients.
