Thanks for the replies. Most of the recorded data are text files. Then it can really happen to use the tapes over 800GB and it does not mean that my tape library has a problem?

Well, if it is really only 2,7 _GB_ or 2,89 _GB_ and your tapes are LTO-4 then I recommend you to check your tapes or tape drive :)
