I have reconfigured things on the client, but continue to get the following errors. Any ideas what might be causing this? Attempting to backup 32bit 2003 server.

That is exactly what it is doing.

So, its not some sort of ssl issue?

I have had other server back up remote hosts for years. How should SD be configured then, if box is behind firewall, with port forwarding. Never had an issue on other installs.

Also, when you run the backup see if it says "waiting for client to connect to Storage" as it will indicate the problem I described.

Just setup bacula on a new Ubuntu install. Local backups work fine,
but a new server 2003 client cannot connect to the sd. I can telnet to
the bacula box from the client on ports 9101, and 9103, check status of
client, and estimate files, but cannot get backups to work.

Backups is being done across different subnets with firewalls.
