Hi Guys,

Posting here again after my previous blunder of posting under the Admin's post

In a nutshell - I can't get Bacula to do what I want it to do. Which is

- Backup from various clients (windows and linux) on to a single tape
(incremental)
- Automatically pick the next tape when one gets filled
- One (or two) dedicated tapes that can be taken offsite
- Email alerts of various stages of the backups

At present it seems when a tape gets filled it just sits there until I unmount
it and mount a new tape (i guess something to do with the retention period?)

a volume list returns the following:

*list volume
Pool: Default
+---------+------------+-----------+---------+-----------------+----------+--------------+---------+------+-----------+-----------+---------------------+

Notice the Status of LT1003L1 is in Error - I can't seem to figure out how to
rectify this

I actually don't mind starting from scratch, I am happy to provide all my
configs (Dir, FD, SD) if someone can take a look and advise what needs changing
- or if someone has a config that does a similar job?. I don't want to give the
impression I am looking for shotcuts but I really need to get this sorted, I've
been trying for weeks and I work in an environment where everything is a
priority [Rolling Eyes]

Any help, advice will be appreciated - is it worth considering the enterprise
edition?

Cheers
