OS: Linux version 2.6.18-164.el5 (mockbuild AT builder10.centos DOT org) (gcc version 4.1.2 20080704 (Red Hat 4.1.2-46)) #1 SMP Thu Sep 3 03:28:30 EDT 2009

Version: bacula03-dir Version: 5.0.2 (28 April 2010) x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu redhat

Problem Description:
The director is attempting to use tapes that are not in the assigned storage device. Our backup system uses three different autochangers (IBM TS3200 with 2 drives, DELL ML600 with 2 drives, and a DELL TL2000 with one drive)
A backup job runs with a certain storage device assigned to it. If there is tape that is appendable that belongs to its pool or a scratch tape is free on the assigned autochanger the director is happy, and the job will run fine. However, if there are no tapes available the director will try to use a tape from another autochanger and load it to the assigned storage drive. For example if the job was meant to run on the TS3200 it would try to get scratch tapes from the ML6000's library. In doing so the director will relabel the tape to the jobs pool and then try to load the tape from the ML6000 into the ts3200 drive, which is not possible. At the point the director will move on the next t scratch tape and repeat the relabeling processing until no scratch tapes exist in any tape libraries. This process makes all scratch tapes a member of one pool, thus depleting our tape resources. This is preventing any future backups from completing, if they require tapes from the scratch pool.

I have attached the bacula-sd bacula-dir and storage configs
