No, it does not.  This will ONLY update the volume status, leaving all
the records in the database relating to the jobs on that volume pointing
to a volume that no longer contains the data.  Your Catalog will now be
in an inconsistent state until those jobs reach their retention limit
and are pruned.

Use purge volume, Luke.
