[Bacula-users] New PC, Windows 7, client does not connect
2009-12-22 08:51:58
How is it with Win7... with my Bacula versions?
I have 2.0.2 Server on Linux, and installed 2.4.5 (or whatever, latest
in 2.4 branch) as the bacula-fd for this Win7. I remember testing 3.x in
my earlier XP and it did not work with the 2.0.2 server.
This setup does not work, claims about authentication errors.
The Win7 is a 65-bit Home Premium, and the server is a 32-bit 2.0.2 on
Debian Lenny. I need the 2.0.2 as it seems to be the best version for
DVD+RW backups.
Any comments? What should I check? The passwords should be ok.
My client is called "mosquito" and server "wellington"
### This is from the client ###
# Client (File Services) to backup
Client {
Name = mosquito-fd
Address = mosquito.fredriksson.dy.fi
FDPort = 9102
Catalog = MyCatalog
Password = "mosquito" # password for FileDaemon
File Retention = 30 days # 30 days
Job Retention = 6 months # six months
AutoPrune = yes # Prune expired Jobs/Files
}
The server file I can't get right now, as I need to get the Putty keys
from the backup to establish the SSH session there... But the password
is the same, and DNS entries work.
Claims about authentication. The bacula client is 32-bit, the only one
there was as binary for 2.4.x.
