Dear list,

I have a rather general question. Is it possible to do two phase or two
pass backups with Bacula? That means I firstly want to back up a client
over network to a disk array and on a second step put this backup to
tape/autoloader.

I do not only mean to use disk cache on the storage daemon side. I
really search for the ability to configure the right time to start the
tape job.

I can imagine to just backup again the whole backup files on the disk
array to tape in a fully separate backup job. But then I think I need to
restore this full backup job in order to access one single file from the
tape backup. So, is there an other solution implemented in Bacula?

Thank you for your answers,
  - Dan
