Trying to get bacula up for the first time, but it seems to just not
work - specifically bconsole is unable to connect to bacula-dir. I've
double and triple checked that the password are all the same as the FAQ
suggests, no luck; and if the passwords don't agree, why wouldn't it
just find that out immediately?

I have debug info below; this is also similar to the report at:
http://www.mail-archive.com/debian-user AT lists.debian DOT org/msg429653.html
(which sadly had no replies.)

I'm going to try building 3.0.2 from source next to see if this is just
some issue brought on by incorrect packaging (or has been fixed 3.0.1 ->
3.0.2).

bacula@monolith:/etc/bacula$ bconsole -c /etc/bacula/bconsole.conf \
                             -d 100 -dt
Connecting to Director localhost:9101
23-Jul-2009 11:51:18 bconsole: bsock.c:201-0 Current
host[ipv4:127.0.0.1:9101] All host[ipv4:127.0.0.1:9101]
23-Jul-2009 11:51:18 bconsole: bsock.c:155-0 who=Director daemon
host=localhost port=9101
(hangs for about 300 seconds)
Director authorization problem.
Most likely the passwords do not agree.
If you are using TLS, there may have been a certificate validation error
during the TLS handshake.
