Hello,

We are using Bacula  Version: 2.2.7 on a Linux Host. We have been taking backup since quite a long but today I noticed a unique problem.

1. The tape from the previous backup was stuck inside the drive and hence further backups could not be proceeded. I tried to manually unmount the tape but it did not help. Hence with no options around, I restarted the tape library. And the problem got solved. Question is , why it got stuck inside ?? Is there any way to find out the reason behind ?? Please suggest.

2. We observed next problem immediately after, I just happened to see the next scheduled jobs in 7 days and could not find the correct listing for our daily incremental backup. Let me explain properly here.
   We have a EXPORT backup for one of our client that is scheduled as daily incremental and weekly full as shown below.

Schedule {
  Name = "weeklycycle"
  Run = Level=Full Pool=odd_week fri w01 w03 w05 w07 w09 w11 w13 w15 w17 w19 w21 w23 w25 w27 w29 w31 w33 w35 w37 w39 w41 w43 w45 w47 w49 w51 w53 at 22:05
  Run = Level=Incremental Pool=even_week mon-thu w01 w03 w05 w07 w09 w11 w13 w15 w17 w19 w21 w23 w25 w27 w29 w31 w33 w35 w37 w39 w41 w43 w45 w47 w49 w51 w53 at 20:00
  Run = Level=Full Pool=even_week fri w02 w04 w06 w08 w10 w12 w14 w16 w18 w20 w22 w24 w26 w28 w30 w32 w34 w36 w38 w40 w42 w44 w46 w48 w50 w52 at 22:05
  Run = Level=Incremental Pool=odd_week mon-thu w02 w04 w06 w08 w10 w12 w14 w16 w18 w20 w22 w24 w26 w28 w30 w32 w34 w36 w38 w40 w42 w44 w46 w48 w50 w52 at 20:00
}

And the scheduled jobs list as ,

Level          Type     Pri          Scheduled          Name               Volume
===================================================================================

Incremental    Backup     9     04-May-09 22:05   test_EXPORT     AAD365
Full               Backup     9      08-May-09 22:05    test_EXPORT    AAD395
Incremental    Backup     9      11-May-09 22:05    test_EXPORT   AAD395
Full               Backup     9      15-May-09 22:05    test_EXPORT    AAD365

One can clearly see that,  there are no incremental backup jobs scheduled on 5,6 & 7 May as well as on 12,13 & 14. Why?? Ideally they do run from Monday to Thursday (as defined above) and Friday full backup.
I see some pattern in this problem, like it is only able to schedule for Monday. ( 4 May and 11 May) but not on days after Monday.

Can anyone point me in right direction as it is getting confusing for me. Am I missing something here??

Please ask if you need any specific info.

Thanks in adv,
Sac
