Yep, I tried labeling a couple of tapes and mounted them but "no joy." I guess 
I'll have to bring the tapes back in-house to make the backups easy.

FWIW, I'm running Bacula 2.4.2 on this machine.

I do not think so. I am not sure bacula will reread the table.
