Hmm... I don't want to look now but I believe there is no such listing.

The most important states are
Append - Volume is still appendable
Full - Volume is full and will not be written to
Error - Some error occured. This volume will not be used for backups. 
For restores - good luck :-)
Used - Volume is no longer appendable by configuration (Max Volume 
something settings).
Purged - Volume has been purged, i.e. the volume contents is no longer 
in the catalog
Recycled - Volume is currently being recycled. Typically you should 
not see this state as it's used only during tape selection and 
recycled tapes are usually appended immediately

The other states are not so interesting currently...

Used is the better choice. Full will work the same but, if you gather 
volume usage statistics these statistics will be broken :-)
