Here's a sample from my BackupPC logs:
pool   l 777 4294967295/4294967295           6 Documents and Settings ->
/Users

That's typical of all the links across Windows boxen, including servers.

I don't recall doing anything specific to make it work; it may be a
function of rsync version on the client.
