maybe a better way to do this would be with BackupFilesOnly and
BackupFilesExclude (do only some subdirectories for one share and exclude them
from the other). You would obviously also need to adapt that over time, but
at least you wouldn't ever miss anything, because you exclude the same things
on one side that you include on the other.

Note the remark about the changes. tar incrementals can't detect deleted files
or new files with old timestamps (eg. under renamed directories).
