Hi there,

I've been using BackupPC for quite a while and since about a week or so
one of the hosts fails to complete the backup. The backup is still
running and I checked what it was doing: It's backing up a 2 GB file
for 4 hours now.

The host is backed up using rsync and contains several VMware machines.
Looking at the already completed files, one 2 GB disk part should take
at most 10 minutes to process.

I tried reading the file on the server:

dd if=Windows2003Server-f002.vmdk of=/dev/null bs=1M
2047+1 records in
2047+1 records out
2147221504 bytes (2.1 GB) copied, 27.2761 seconds, 78.7 MB/s

-> File is readable.

A full backup used to take around 300 minutes. Now it's not completing
in 20 hours.

Any hints what might be wrong?

Thanks,

Tino.
