no, but something in your shell startup process for root is. 'ssh -x' inhibits
X11 forwarding, so $DISPLAY should not be set (and not to ":0.0" in any case).
Maybe it is set by something else (.bash_profile, PAM, ...) or something tries
to contact an X server regardless of whether $DISPLAY is set?
