If I understand the issue...
I add the amanda entries to /etc/services and /etc/inetd.conf,
then when I hup inetd and check the system messages file, /var/adm/messages
I see that I need to run, er, # inetdconv (?). So you do that, then
you should see that amanda is available in output from # svcs and
# svcadm.
