Hi all,

Occasionaly I get the following errors after amdump:

*** A TAPE ERROR OCCURRED: [label ISR006 or new tape not found in rack].
Some dumps may have been left in the holding disk.
Run amflush to flush them to tape.
The next tape Amanda expects to use is: ISR006.

which is simply not true, since

$ amtape ISR label ISR006
amtape: scanning for tape with label ISR006
amtape: slot 3: date 20060615 label ISR004 (wrong tape)
amtape: slot 4: date 20060616 label ISR005 (wrong tape)
amtape: slot 5: date 20060612 label ISR006 (exact label match)
amtape: label ISR006 is now loaded.

works just fine.

What is happening here?

The log file log.20060617.0 has a one-line reference to the problem:

ERROR taper no-tape [label ISR006 or new tape not found in rack]

The following /tmp/amanda/amtape* files don't seem to provide a clear help:

Can anyone help me on this?
