A couple of questions if you don't mind.

1. Did you make your virtual tapes the same size as your physical tapes?
2. If not, what did your tapetype look like?

Amanda stops writing to a tape when one of the tapes gives EOT.
So normally, you make them both the same size.

Actually. It is even simpler.  Amanda sees the pair of tapes as
one, with only one tapedefinition.   So if you take the length
of the physical tape, than the vtape is limited to the same value.
