Hello:
I have amanda 2.4.4p3 in a RHEL3 box, built from sources (not the
rpm's by redhat). Now I want to upgrade that server to RHEL 4. What
would be the best upgrade path to migrate the entire amanda database to
the new OS? Should an amadmin export/import be enough?
Export/import only does handles the "info" database.
You need more.
But simply copying these directory trees should be fine:
- configdir
- logdir/index/info : probably shared under the same parent dir
- amanda home directory (maybe same as previous dir)
To find the values of these places do:
$ amadmin x version
and look in amanda.conf for logdir/index/info etc.
