Has anyone managed to get Amanda to encrypt the backups with a given
key on the client, so they are both transported & stored encrypted ?
This could likely be done after compression.

 I assume the amrestore program would have to know about this
encryption, and ask for the key when it's envoked.

 Seeing as Amanda only knows about tar and dump by default, this might
be difficult to implement, but any ideas or pointers are welcome.
