We
have an amanda server on Solaris and some clients on HP, Solaris, Aix. We
use a Weekly config to do full backupson Fridays and a Daily config to load
balance the incrementals across the rest of the week. On Monday, I wished
to do a test restore of random files from each client, to check that the backup
had worked. This was working fine on Monday, the day after the backups,
but I could not finish them all and decided to finish them off today
(Tuesday). However, when I try to run amrecover with the Weekly tape
loaded in the drive, I am getting problems (which I have recorded at the end of
the email).
I
tried setting the date to match yesterday's but it still can't seem to find the
files. I was wondering what I am doing wrong or whether this means
that only the most recently backed up versions of files can be
restored?
Manay
thanks
