Sit in the top-level amanda directory and do this:

[jlb@$HOST amanda-2.4.4p1]$ patch -p1 < amanda-2.4.3-sigchld.patch
patching file server-src/dumper.c
Hunk #1 succeeded at 253 (offset -1 lines).
