Where do you see it is failing? These are the details
of failed AND strange results. The line
> /-- XXXXXX /home lev 2 STRANGE
Doesn't say failed, it says strange, i.e. unexpected.

If you want to stop this type of message,
make sure nothing is using the computer while amanda runs.
Otherwise this always has the possibility of happening.
All it means is not the "backup failing", that one
file "may" not be backed up properly. OTOH it may.
Besides, look at the file name, "XXXXXX._home.2.tmp",
do you really care if a temp file with a fleeting
existance isn't backed up?
