I/O error when writing to tape
2003-06-19 03:51:28
Just got
*** A TAPE ERROR OCCURRED: [[writing file: I/O error]].
during a backup run. - Must be something wrong with the tape or tape
drive, I thought, but it turns out that
1. I get this error for various different tapes when trying to amflush the
dump to them.
2. I can write other dumps to the same tapes.
Any idea what may cause this kind of thing to happen? I'm using the
20030516 snapshot, and holding disk is
# ls -lh
