tar via nfs errors
2003-06-13 14:36:59
I'm trying to back up a Network Appliance filer via nfs, got the
following output from sendsize debug:
sendsize: debug 1 pid 792 ruid 34 euid 34 start time Fri Jun 13 04:46:30
2003
/usr/lib/amanda/sendsize: version 2.4.2p2
calculating for amname '/nfs/share/.snapshot/snapshot_for_amanda',
dirname '/nfs/share/.snapshot/snapshot_for_amanda'
sendsize: getting size via gnutar for
/nfs/share/.snapshot/snapshot_for_amanda level 0
sendsize: spawning /usr/lib/amanda/runtar in pipeline
sendsize: argument list: /bin/tar --create --file /dev/null --directory
/nfs/share/.snapshot/snapshot_for_amanda --one-file-system
--listed-incremental
/var/lib/amanda/gnutar-lists/amanda.cs.unm.edu_nfs_share_.snapshot_snapshot_for_amanda_0.new
--sparse --ignore-failed-read --totals .
/bin/tar: ./info/crowley: Cannot savedir: Permission denied
.....
(no size line match in above gnutar output)
.....
sendsize: pid 792 finish time Fri Jun 13 04:47:53 2003
and this from runtar debug:
runtar: debug 1 pid 798 ruid 34 euid 0 start time Fri Jun 13 04:46:30
2003
/bin/tar: version 2.4.2p2
running: /bin/tar: /bin/tar --create --file /dev/null --directory
/nfs/share/.snapshot/snapshot_for_amanda --one-file-system
--listed-incremental
/var/lib/amanda/gnutar-lists/amanda.cs.unm.edu_nfs_share_.snapshot_snapshot_for_amanda_0.new
--sparse --ignore-failed-read --totals .
just running tar by hand works normally.
