I dont know if this would meet your needs, but a suggestion would be to make
a mirror of the windows box using cygwin and rsync.  rsync has some great
exclusion/inclusion features.

You could then backup the mirror.  

We do that here, and it is nice because I only need to run to tape in dire
emergency, otherwise I have a mirror which is a day or two lagging the
master.
