Environment: amanda 2.4.4, Solaris 9, mtx 1.2.17rel

I was running amanda 2.4.3 with the chg-zd-mtx from 2.4.4
and mtx 1.2.12(?) on Solaris 8 but things got wonky when 
I started the Solaris 9 upgrade.

What I'm currently seeing is also a little odd.

1) I'm seeing that # amtape newtonr update
   is dumping core. Unless I'm wrong having an index of amanda-labels
   to barcodes doesn't actually enhance performance, or does it ?

   So if amtape update isn't working I'm not gonna worry to much
   but I am offering to test and provide info for debugging purposes.



2) I'm seeing some odd errors from amcheck, see the output following
   my sig. These are the same labeled tapes that I was using prior
   to the upgrade. 

   I will try relabeling them but don't know where the problem 
   would have been introduced.

   I just retried the test, no errors. I'm not certain that I
   like interment errors...

3) Occasionally we see, I don't know what, jukebox response slugishness ?
