No.

[hyclak@darwin hyclak]$ rpm -ql amanda-client 
/etc/xinetd.d/amanda
/usr/lib/amanda/amandad
...

I believe when the amanda files are installed in xinetd.d, they default to
"disable = yes". You'll want to make sure they are set to "disable = no",
then restart xinetd.
