When amanda gets messages from the backup program (gtar) that it doesn't 
expect (but that don't halt the backup), it generates a STRANGE messages.  
The lines it wasn't expecting are marked with ?s.  In your case, they all 
had to do with files changing (or disappearing) during the backup, which 
is normal on an active filesystem.

Those are all part of the STRANGE dump summary.

That's normal -- amanda uses the non-rewinding tape device.
