Hi Joshua,
this does seem to be the critical point. In 2.4.3,
sendsize now generates & executes:
sendsize[288178]: time 0.003: running "/sbin/dump 0Esf 1048576 -
/dev/rdisk/dsk0d"
which of course, works as intended on Tru64 (i.e., estimation
succeeds and both amdump & amverify complete successfully).
