Howdy,

The fix-pack 6.1.3.0 was pulled because of APAR IC65409. This is
documented in the flash. Most of the details and such are discussed in the
flash but I'll re-hash a few points here:

* IC65409 applies only to storage pools of DEVTYPE=DISK.
* The patch 6.1.3.1 is finishing test and is still on target to deliver as
discussed in the flash.

In terms of what to do, there are a number of options. Primarily the
concern is whether or not you are encountering the crash for IC65409. If
you implemented 6.1.3.0 and are not experiencing issues then things are
fine. If you are encountering the crash for IC65409, contact IBM service
and a 6.1.3.0 efix server is available that includes the fix for this APAR,
this can be used in the interim until the patch 6.1.3.1 is available.

The decision to pull the 6.1.3.0 fix-pack and pursue replacement with
the 6.1.3.1 patch was intended as a proactive step. This decision was
weighed against the other content delivered in that fix-pack and ultimately
the decision was made based on the number of occurrences that had been
reported for IC65409.

I went on my usual wandering of the FTP site looking for server and client
maintenance/patches only to find that server level 6.1.3 was
pulled/removed on 01/12/2010 (whoever maintains the FTP site needs to
update "LATEST" since it still points to it)?

I just implemented 6.1.3 last week.

What gives? What do I do now?

Any idea why it was pulled? What kind of disaster am I looking forwards
to?
