Michael,

I'd think about checking/tuning the size of your BUFPOOL in TSM; make sure that it isn't so large that it's requesting lots of RAM which in turn is hitting into your paging space... As the other guys have said, double check with the AIX perf tools such as topas and check where your paging space is (lsps -a) etc.

Hi,



Every time I halt and restart my tsm server, the rootvg disk becomes
extraordinarily busy.  I have moved all of the database, and logs to
another location.  The only file that I know of that is still on rootvg
(besides the normal binaries and config files) is the volhist file.
Does TSM hammer that volhist file on startup?
