Hi John,

Answer is: YES

for MSCS Cluster enviroment you have to use dedicated option files for each
Ressource Group or Node.
Normally one will create a directory on a shared disk for each ressource
group, were the option file, the sched and error Logs will be placed. In
this option File you define the TSM-Nodename for the Ressource Group. You
can decide wich policy-domain and backup-group should be used for this Node
to specify the target pool.

The better way is to add an include statement to the option file of the
ressource group to specify a dedicated managementclass for your 200GB Drive.

Create a new Mgmt Class within your standard Policy Domain
Create a Backup Copy Group with the desired Target Pool
Add an include statement to the opt file.

Can look like that:

Path of .opt File

<Big_Disk>:\tsm_cluster\dsm.opt

Entry in this File

include *:\...\* your_management_class

You can also do something with include.dir and so on. Take a look into the
Backup Client Documentation for precise Syntax.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / With kind regards

        Alexander Stahl
