Hi Geoff!
1) Try ./dsmcad instead of dsmcad.
2) Like suggested by James Thompson, your DSMI_CONFIG variable is pointing
to /usr/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin instead of
/usr/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin/dsm.opt
