We have been backing up NDS for about a month with the adsm 3.1.0.8
client to a 3.7.3.0 server running on solaris.

to get nds backups, we had to add "DOMAIN NDS all-local" to the
dsm.opt file (and of course bounce the scheduler). i don't believe
(not quite certain) that you need to specify that (i think you get the
filespace "SERVER SPECIFIC INFO" by default which will include that). We
only backup NDS from our master NDS server since an nds restore
from tape would be a last resort (ie, we're sync up from a replica
instead).

one problem we did have is getting include/exclude statements
to work for NDS. i didn't do much testing under the 3.1.0.8
client, but did a lot on the 3.7.1.0 client and could not get
it to work according to the documentation (planned on contacting
support at some point after testing with the latest client).

hope this helps.
