Hi Gerrit,

some things I would try / look at:

Any errors in the AIX errorlog?

Do you catch HSM error messages (ERRORPROG in dsm.sys)?

Is dsmmonitord running?

Try playing with the mgm class AUTOMIGNOUSE value. Perhaps all files
have been accessed within the last 30 days?

Does "dsmmigquery /R3_data" list any migration candidates?
  If not, try running "dsmreconcile".

Are you able to manually migrate files (dsmmigrate)?

Set the quota (e.g. "dsmmigfs update /R3_data -Quota=1024G"
you do allow 1 TB from this filesystem to be migrated, don't you?)

One of my HSM filesystems has a very similar environment (AIX 4.3.2,
Client 3.1.0.7, Server 3.1.2.50) and is working fine. Our AUTOMIGNOUSE
is set to 0 though.

Regards,

Reinhard Mersch
