Why not?  If the two servers don't know about each other, no problem:
use separate client option server stanzas or use environment variables
to point to an alternate options file.  Or in an emergency simply put
a different options file into place or edit the current one to point
to the working server.  But you may not want to use a different server
because of your prevailing data store being on a given server.
