IBM will take advantage of the new HSM functionality built into
Windows 2000. I think the module is called RSM - Removable
Storage Management (at least that is what it's called on my
Windows 2000 Professional RC2 laptop).
As far as backward compatibility with NT 4.0, I have heard rumors
that this is coming, but I have not seen any corroborating doc
on this.
