Hello, I upgraded a Solaris 2.5.1 client from 3.1.0.3 to 3.1.0.7 and ran into a
problem with the location of dsmtca. I did a pkgrm of the 3.1.0.3 client and a
pkgadd of the new client according to the directions. Afterwards, any dsmc
commands from a non-root user (like the id oracle) came up with ANS1400 re:
dsmtca is not found in a secure directory. I ran a truss on dsmc and found it
wanted to find dsmtca in /usr/bin...but it wasn't there anymore. So I created a
link and then things worked. Anyone else have this problem and get a good
explanation from IBM/Tivoli about their testing procedures? Not sure how this
could be missed before shipping a product. So anyone else looking to do this
upgrade - beware...
