query ONBAR backup files

AIX client version 3.1.0.5
AIX server version 3.1.2.1

On the client, I can "dsmc query backup -inactive /dbname/rootdbs/0" and see
the backups.  If I do a "dsmc query backup -inactive /dbname/*" I get
'ANS1092E No files matching search criteria were found'.

How can I list all the backups created by ONBAR without using the
unsupported command "show versions" on the server?
