No, I didn't.
In such a situation I would try to restore the dump anyway and see if the
machine comes up. If so, you could do a registry restore from the last normal
backup.
The DR manual states that if anything changes in the machines configuration you
should make a new dump.
I think this feature is intended for harddisk recovery only.
If you replace the whole machine and the machine won't come up after a dump
restore I think the only thing to do is a full re-install...
