it's not as bad as it sounds ! There are two things that you may
have done wrong here:
1) you have not issued "export DISPLAY=0:0"
   (on non-AIX UNIX, you need to DISPLAY=0:0 and then export LDISPLAY)
2) What is you language ? (use echo LLANG)
   ADSM only supports certain languages - eg it does support
   en_US but not en_GB
