Although I don't know how, there has to be a way to do a bare metal restore 
from disks. Seagate's Backup Exec does this. It creates a set of two disks 
which allowes you to boot and it mounts your tapedrive afterwards. It all works 
in the Windows 95 DOS mode in which the ADSM DOS recovery scenario should work 
too. The only tricky thing is that Seagate's people are somehow able to restore 
the bootdrive INCLUDING the long-filenames!
So the problem of bare metal restoring Windows 95 can be solved if the IBM 
people can find out the trick Seagate uses.
