Peter,

I ran into the same problem. You definitely need to take Notes down prior
to running the install. The second point you make is resolved by finding a
duplicate filename (I think it's uninstal.exe, or something similar) that
InstallShield looks for that also exists in the ADSM install. This
duplicate name confuses InstallShield and it quits after 36% installed.
I'm not sure exactly where the duplicate filename lives, probably in the
Windows directory. The people that fixed this for me just renamed the file
and ADSM was able to complete installation successfully. I'll try to get
more specifics from the guys that resolved this for me and pass it on to
you.

Attempting to install the ADSM client this weekend on some of our Notes
servers ran into the following problems.
1: If a server has the Notes service up and running, installation takes
for ever! It appers that you have to shut Notes down to have any hope of
the Installation working.
2: One server just refues to have InstallShield run! Either receive
messages talking about not enough free space (even though the server has
600 MB free on the C drive, and 4 G free on the D Drive), or InstallShield
gets to the 36% point of the initial setup and then dies on an NT exception
c0000005 in _INS0432._MP.exe.
The particular server that this is happening on a Compaq Proliant with dual
Pentium processors.
Any ideas ???
