I have been talking to Chris Russel (my local ADSM expert) about trying to
automate my SAP R/3 backups via the ADSM scheduler. I am unable to get it
to run!

If I create an ADSM command schedule to run a ".bat" file as below
c:\path...\dsmc selective c:\* d:\* e:\*
brbackup -c -t online
brarchive -c
(with additional statements to set appropriate environment variables) the
dsmc command runs but the backint commands return a code of "1" and don't
execute. I can submit the identical command from the DOS prompt while
logged on as the SAP installation/administration user and the ADSM backs up
my database beautifully.

I have also tried using the "at" command. This won't trigger the backint
interface either. I suspect that there is some service which needs to be
running with specific privileges but I don't know what it is.

My ultimate objective is to have one system (out of three SAP systems)
running as my ADSM server to automatically manage disk and SAP backups for
all three.
