Okay, here are the answers.
1. Yes, the client has been in use since September.
2. Invoked "dsmc query filespace" and received the same ANS4501E
error.
3. Password = generate is running.
4. Netscape gets in with no problem. And I do get a list of
filesystems with no timestamps.
5. The client is a C10 running AIX 4.1.4 and PSSP 2.1. It is the
control workstation for our SP.
PS. We had a /etc/security permissions problem last week, but it has
since been fixed with AIX Supports help. We believe that a software
product we installed 2 weeks ago, BEST/1 by BGS Systems, has been the
culprit with these problems, since they all date from that install.

Hi Ken,
Since WebShell has invoked ADSM, it sounds more like a permissions problem
between your ADSM client (I assume AIX) and your ADSM server. Have you
used the ADSM client before? Invoke "dsmc query filespace" from the command
line. What happens? Are you running with password = generate?
I assumed WebShell accepted your userid/password correctly, once entered
from Netscape. So you passed the Web authentication part? Did WebShell
display a list of your file systems, but no dates/times for the last backup?
What client platform?
