We migrated from a VM platform and I can say the #1 asset going for the AIX 
(Unix) platform is connectivity.  TCP/IP is being
supported across many platforms (NT, OS/2, Novell, Windows 95, etc.).  I am 
most impressed with the ease of allowing this
platform integration.
